I paint from childhood.
In this concentrated activity I already experienced a magic that filled me with incredible happiness and that gave me a form of harmony and mental health, in circumstances that were not very easy.
The search for an intuitive explanation for this magic has been part of my entire life and the way it looks, it will be for a long time.
I studied art at two universities, in Madrid and in Berlin. At the end of the long fine arts studies, I fell into a great crisis. My impression had been that the more I occupied myself with external aspects of art, the more I distanced myself from the experience of the most essential.
Then my journey into the world of spirituality and meditation began with extraordinary teachers such as Yashi Kunz, Thích Nhát Hanh, Sogyal Rinpoche and the eternally living Willigis Jäger. From the first second on I sat in meditation, I knew it was the same inner state of happiness and health that I experienced when I was painting as a child. This meditation practice will never leave me.
I married a wonderful person and became two wonderful daughters, who challenged me to implement the creative and the meditative in everyday life on the spot. I began studying art therapy. After briefly attending several schools and studying with the honorable Arno Stern, I found a home in the Institute for Humanistic Art Therapy in Zurich. There I was at the hand of Bettina Egger and Urs Hartmann – whom I both as teachers such as friends appreciate – acquiring the methods whose serious research bases and whose visible successes inspired me and which I still use today.
In 2004 I built my own studio – first in Berlin-Zehlendorf, then in Potsdam – where I share the infectious joy and the deep spiritual experience of painting with already many people. Thanks to all.
Not a day goes by that I don’t get new insights into this incredible mystery: being a creative person.
